Sleepzone Connemara is a sister hostel of the highly-rated Sleepzone in Galway City (Best Hostel in Ireland 2006 - Hostelworld Awards)
Overlooking The Killary - Ireland's only fjord - and surrounded by the peaks of The Twelve Bens, Maumturk and Mweelrea mountains in the centre of Connemara, it is probably one of the most spectacularly situated hostels anywhere in Western Europe.
Sleepzone Connemara offers a range of accommodation in private and dormitory rooms (over 100 beds in 21 rooms) - all ensuite, free WiFi access, bureau de change, tourist information as well as a residents' bar, self-catering kitchen, mini-store and its own tennis court.
Another of its attractions is that it is situated right next door to the Killary Adventure Company, so a range of adventure activities and outdoor pursuits are available literally on its doorstep.
It's also a great base for some of Connemara's most fantastic walks and hikes and bike rental is also available.
If activity doesn't appeal to you though, the serenity of the location of Sleepzone Connemara is an attraction in itself.
