Description
Once the town's post office and telephone exchange, we're now a characterful and homely backpackers. Enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere with relaxed background music, FREE Fairtrade tea, fresh ground Fairtrade coffee, and Fairtrade hot chocolate,good FREE movies in our TV Room, separate to the main lounge.
Our kitchen includes FREE herbs, spices and recipe books and you can help yourself to fresh herbs and vegetables from our garden. On cold nights we'll get the fire roaring and you can enjoy cozy warm rooms with individual heaters in each.
In addition to all this we also have wifi and internet, free bike hire, book exchange, laundry facilities, and off-street parking.
Some of our dorm beds are semi-enclosed with curtains and reading lights.
We are an 5 minute walk from the town centre, and one block away from the beach. We are located on a quiet street, sheltered from the wind and traffic of the town.
We are a member of Kiwi Green and do what we can to limit our environmental impact.
