Description

Adi's Place is the original budget retreat in the southern Yasawa having opened on Waya Island in 1981 alongside a pretty stretch of beach with some snorkeling offshore. The small collection of bures is located between Yalobi Village and the primary school on the west side of Waya Island.

This is a great base to experience traditional Fijian culture in a family style guest house run by one of the village lady chiefs (Adi).

Accommodation at Adi's is set in a family style garden with several houses converted into guest lodges. One house has three guest rooms with double bed, a communal lounge and shares an outdoor bathroom.

Another house has 2 eight bed dorms with outdoor shared bathroom. Set behind the two houses are two small private bungalows with private wooden veranda and ensuite bathroom (cold water only).

Home cooked meals with a Fijian flavor are provided in a sand floor restaurant at the front of the property. For those staying in the private bure, guests are served a 2-course dinner on the wooden deck overlooking the beach.

Adi's is a five minute stroll to the fishing village of Yalobi where guests can experience true Fijian living. On school days, kids walk along the beach past Adi's on their way back to the village and this always makes for a friendly interaction. The hills surrounding Yalobi have fantastic hiking with sunset hill treks (half an hour) to full day treks available.
