Description
In April 2007 Palermo ArtHostel opened its doors, a new concept in accommodation. It is considered the first cultural hostel in our country and it is situated right in the centre of Palermo neighbourhood.
From September 2008, the hostel increases its capacity for up to 70 people. Now we can accept big groups bookings. We offer different new options: single private room, double private room with double bed or twin beds and exclusive female dorms. The new bedrooms walls are decorated with beautifull murals made by nacional artists. There are eight shared bathrooms, and two lounges. Besides this, we have Reception 24 hrs, wi-fi, Bar&Pool, a terrace with barbecue and Bar service (in summer), tourist information and diffent tours options in Uruguay, among other services.
Palermo ArtHostel offers too 3 private rooms and a loft located under an enormous sliding roof, under which it will be possible to enjoy the sun of the mornings and the starred sky in the nights.
The Apartments are placed next to the hostel, two blocks from Montevideo´s seacoast.
What makes Palermo ArtHostel a unique place is its multicultural space, which promotes a wide variety of art trends.
Photographic and painting exhibitions, book presentations, video clips, short films, and a big mural made by Sebastián Sáez, are some of the many cultural expressions that our guests will enjoy while having a drink at the bar.
Nowaday, there are over 600 m2 which are reserved for art, where you can find art exhibitions not only from local artists but also from those guests who wish to expose their own works.
Palermo ArtHostel is not only a hostel but a cultural bridge between montevideans and our visitors, providing the possibility of exchanging the different forms of expression all over the world.
