Description

Villino Diana, situated on a hill (650 m) faces Caltagirone, a town rich in history, famous for its baroque architecture and its very ancient ceramic art. Owing to its position the house is the ideal place for discovering the inner of Sicily: the Roman Villa in Piazza Armerina; the Greek archeological site of Morgantina; Occhiolà, the archeological site of Grammichele; Militello, baroque town; Ragusa and Vittoria well known for the natural landscape, winw and diary products.
Villino Diana was built at the end of the 19th century as a summer house. It has an Italian garden rich of flowers and plants growing in the shade of secular Cedars of Lebanon.
Villino Diana host in double rooms with private, tv and A.C. We are open from January to December.
Children are welcome.
Bike hiring and internet point
Villino Diana is the ideal site to start a journey around the typical baroque cities declared human property by the UNESCO: Militello, Ragusa, Modica, Palazzolo Acreide, Noto, Catania, all far away not more than 1 hour by car.
As well, Piazza Armerina with the famous roman casale and its mosaics is just 20 minutes far, and you can rich the temple valley of Agrigento in an half an hour
