Description
Lucní Bouda is the highest situated mountain hostel in the Czech Republic, it is 1410m above the sea-level. You have a view over the highest peak of the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše) - the Snìžka mountain (1610m).
Its history can be traced back to the 16th century, when in the World War II it was rebuilt by the Nazi Wermacht to train soldiers for the arctic condition. The carefully protected area of Krkonoše National Park offers visitors a beautiful nature with a lot of endemic species.
Right in front of the house is the spring of the White Elbe and also a large moss meadow which is the spring of the Úpa River.

In the winter you can go skiing as the Czech Main Ski-Centre Pec pod Snìžkou with ski-tows is just 8km downhill.
