How To Plan Your Round The World Trip

Well, you’re certainly not alone, and you probably need all the help you can get – it’s a confusing world of options out there… So, the best thing is to carve out some internet time and start doing some serious web-browsing.

First up, get all fired up by poring through the travel blog of the Lost Girls, a trio of 20-something New Yorkers who ditched their media jobs to ‘embark on a yearlong, round-the-world journey in search of adventure and inspiration’. These girls know how to travel… and how to write about it.

Then, it’s time to watch Matt dancing badly all the way across the world, and go to the extreme with uber-traveller, Robin Esrock, a.k.a. Modern Gonzo.

Right, that should get your travel bug biting good ‘n’ proper. Now it’s time to consult some round the world guides – look here, here and here – and then find out how you can use low cost carriers to circumnavigate the globe for only £500.

And, finally, read ‘Traveling the Globe on a Single Ticket‘, a rather useful guide published recently by the New York Times.

Sorted. Now all that remains is to go ahead and buy your ticket and you’re up, up and away!
