How Would You Spend New Year’s Eve?

FireworksSo, it might seem like a long way away, but New Year’s Eve being the huge party it tends to be, two months in advance might just be the right time to start thinking about where you’d like to be on the evening of December 31.

If you’re looking for ideas, Kathleen Crislip has some great suggestions for backpackers that include partying it up ‘porcine wild’ style at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay (tickets went on sale earlier this month), gaping in awe at Sydney’s famous fireworks display (in between pub visits) and ‘clubbing the eve away‘ in Paris or Reykjavik.

You could also see fantastic fireworks in Prague (or even set off a few of your own with the locals in the Old Town Square), count down to the ball drop in Times Square, New York or sit back and enjoy it all vicariously from the comfort of your own home (or wherever in the world you happen to be).

What’s your favourite way to spend New Year’s Eve?
