Global Gathering 2007 Awaits!
On the 27th and 28th of July we, the Backpackers Team, will be at the UK’s ‘grandest gathering’ – Global Gathering 2007 – and boy are we excited!
Not only does this huge festival have some of the biggest names in dance music on its mind-bogglingly impressive lineup (think Faithless, Basement Jaxx, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, Armand van Helden… and you’re just getting started), it also has a crazy assortment of activities for when you’re not busy grooving to the music.
The Adrenaline Village is for all the thrillseekers at the festival. Bungee jumps, reverse bungee jumps, free fall simulators and other extreme activities to keep the heart beating good ‘n’ speedily. Then there’s the Chill Out Village, a place to rest your weary dancin’ feet (or have them massaged) or to go ahead and realign ye ol’ chakras if you’ve a mind to.
You can explore the fairground, complete with rollercoaster rides and dodgems, or hop onto a hot air balloon for a birdseye view of the festival.
What fun! And we get to be there this year – how lucky are we?! Watch this space, though, as we may just be giving away some tickets a little bit later on… In the meantime, feast your eyes on the Global Gathering website and seriously consider adding it to your 2007 festival calendar.
