Going To Glastonbury Festival? Pre-Registration Required This Year

February 20th, 2007 by Pia Taylor

Glastonbury Festival

England’s Glastonbury Festival is the ‘largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world’.

Held in June on 900 acres of land in the Vale of Avalon (think King Arthur and other things mythological), the hugely popular festival attracts people from all walks of life, from around the world.

Tickets for the festival will only go on sale on the 1st of April, but if you’re planning on going, you’re going to need to register for your tickets by the end of February:

As an anti-touting measure, all those wanting to buy a ticket for the festival will need to pre-register. This will mean supplying your contact details and a passport standard photo. Each ticket sold will feature the photograph of the person in whose name it is registered and will be non-exchangeable.

Anyone wanting to buy a ticket will need to register between 8am Thursday 1st February and midnight on Wednesday 28th February 2007. This registration service will be open from Thursday 1st to Wednesday 28th February, 24 hours a day – there is no advantage to registering early or late. Please note that registration does not reserve or guarantee you a ticket. In order to purchase you will still need to go through the sales procedure on Sunday 1st April.
