When you’re saving up for that great expedition to Europe, or South-East-Asia, or around the world, it’s sometimes hard to keep to a strict budget.

Every bit saved means another day on the road, and a site called Saving For Travel has some great tips and tricks for getting you as many of those as humanly possible:

It outlines a simple, step-by-step, common-sense approach to saving for travelling. No scams. No get-rich-quick schemes. Just a tried and tested approach written by a budget backpacker for other backpackers.

A fairly new addition to the website itself is a blog, with ideas for boosting income, cutting down on ‘outgoings’ and general saving tips.

Useful resources for backpackers:
Cheap Hostels Worldwide – find and book hostels offering special online rates.
Budget Travel Forums – share travel tips or pick the brains of other, more experienced, backpackers.
