TripFlicks: Sharing Travel Videos With Your Tripmates

Trip Flicks

Our good friends over at Tripmates have just launched a cool new feature called Trip Flicks.

On Tripmates backpackers can now view travel videos from destinations far and wide, from the pumping dance floor of a night club in Ibiza, to shots of chinstrap penguins waddling about in Antarctica (this one’s good, though quite surreal!).

If you like them (or hate them), then rate them, and leave your comments – Tripmates is all about being interactive (once you’re signed in, which is free). And you can upload your own:

Footage can be uploaded from a globe-trekker’s desktop, digital camera, webcam, mobile phone, or YouTube account. A Google map is displayed when viewing a Trip Flick to show where the footage is from. (link)

Plus, Tripmates is currently running a weekly competition for their favourite ‘Trip Flick’, with $100 Amazon gift vouchers as the prize.
