Proving Art Appreciation Can Be Fun: Riding On Giant Slides At The Tate Modern
Not for the Tate Modern your regular stand-in-front-of-a-piece-of-art (looking knowledgeable) type of art exhibition, oh no – at the Tate, to appreciate art, you must experience art.
And what better way to get hands-on than to jump onto an 180-foot slide and wiggle your speedy way down to the bottom?
If you’re in London between now and April next year, you’ll have the opportunity to see (and experience) Carsten Höller’s ‘Test Site’ for yourself (it’s free).
Going by Höller’s description of the experience of sliding as a ‘voluptuous panic upon an otherwise lucid mind’, you could be in for quite a ride.
