Oktoberfest Brawl: When Flirting Fails, Hurl A Stein
Yahoo! News yesterday reported on a drunken brawl that took place on Tuesday in a beer tent at the Munich Oktoberfest.
A drunken brawl? At the world’s largest beer festival? Surely not!
The story goes like this: Guy at Table A wants Girl at Table B to join him at Table A. Girl’s friends object to this (the report doesn’t say why), Guy’s friends get involved, heavy Oktoberfest beer glasses start flying.
Bruises, cuts and arrests swiftly follow.
With 6 million people consuming around 6 million litres of strong Bavarian beer at Oktoberfest, no doubt this kind of thing happens all the time.
So much for the Bavarian flirt cards, huh.
