Social Networking for Backpackers
Backpackers tend to have wayward tastes, and don’t find much satisfaction in doing the same touristy stuff as the average traveller. They’d rather take advice from a peer with similar interests than a book written for the masses.
This is why social networking websites are probably the best new tool for the modern backpacker.
Sites like Tripmates and Gusto make it easy to get in touch with travellers around the world, share tips and stories with them, and even meet in another country!
If you’re not using this great travel tool yet, then checkout our friends at Tripmates.com.

There’s so many to choose from though. If you get onto the wrong one then you don’t meet as many people:’(
