Tripmates is a cool new social networking website that we’re really enjoying. We’ve been signed up for a week, and already we’re chatting with cool people from around the world who are keen to travel.
It’s lots of fun, very easy to use, and best of all, it’s free.
You create a profile, and then you search the site for people who you’d like to bump into on your travels – or you just wait to be found (as we did).
You can also do stuff like create a trip journal, interact on their forums, upload your photos and write restaurant reviews.

I live in England and am looking to travel the world this year – not sure when betwwen july and christmas. I am currently going on my own and would really like to meet some other people who might be doing the same thing.
