So long, and thanks for all the Sangria…

So, after over a week of non-stop revelry, the San Fermin Festival has finally come to an end, and what a party it was!
Paul obviously had fun – he described the festival as ‘a week long bacchanalian orgy of drinking and partying that includes a lot more than the bull run made famous by Ernest Hemingway’.
Sensibly, he watched the bull run from the sidelines and took some gory photos (blood on the walls, yuck!).
If you missed it (or were there, but are finding that, on reflection, it’s all a bit of a sangria-induced blur) the San Fermin Guide has just posted a ‘best of’ page with a bunch of great photos taken during this year’s festival.
Yahoo! News has a gallery of over 200 festival photos and check out this photo of the unlikely combination of nuns and badly-dressed matadors.
